SPARKS as it is known throughout the community is a private club, not affiliated with any hobby shop. We have an active membership of all types of aircraft and helicopter enthusiasts. We typically have members at the field any Saturday or Sunday from AM till dark. Several of our members are retirees, they will be out during the week, generally on Tuesday; or Wednesdays. Our landing strip is oriented North - South and is a grass strip 450'X 100' which is professionally mowed and trimmed every Friday during the growing season. There are no mowing duties for club members. We have a helicopter practice area and a East/West landing area for emergency landing if required. In addition, we have covered a large area which has many tables for model assembly.

These instructors will be glad to check out your plane and help you learn to fly. Aircraft flying is best between 9AM and 2PM when the sun is at your back. This is when most of the instructors are at the field, so plan your visit early to catch an instructor. Later in the afternoons, we have a large gathering of helicopter pilots and usually no aircraft instructors (If your interest is helicopters, they are typically there from noon on).
Spring Area Radio Kontrol Society is located .8 miles north of Grant Road and .6 miles south of Boudreaux Rd, .4 miles east of Telge Rd (turn across from the Shell station) on an unnamed private drive. The recently built site is adjacent to Tomball, Texas ( See map ).
